Description

FANTASMEEM was a programme initiated by the Goethe Institute Libanon adopting a holistic approach towards fostering creative entrepreneurship while encouraging collaborations & knowledge. In Lebanon, it focused on sustainability & resilience in times of crises.

Brief

  • Main Programme Designer, Facilitator, Coordinator, and EcoDesign Trainer of the Goethe Institut FANTASMEEM “Design Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme” (2021) and “Sustainability in Design Entrepreneurship” programme (2022): We supported 50 design entrepreneurs & freelancers from various fields of design and creative entrepreneurs from the Cultural and Creative Industries in Lebanon. The two cohorts included architects, landscape architects, interior designers, furniture designers, product designers, industrial designers, artists, and graphic designers.
  • Accompanied by sustainability experts, business professionals, coaches, and mentors, the programme offered participants successive training and knowledge transfer sessions, capacity building webinars and technical workshops, access to expertise, networking opportunities, and personalized mentoring and coaching sessions, with a focus on sustainability, the circular economy, green and social entrepreneurship, and business development.

Achievements

- Our role involved designing the entire programme, its content, the sequence of sessions, selecting qualified co-trainers, engaging in green networking activities, as well as delivering a full module on the circular economy and individually coaching the 50 creative and design entrepreneurs in adopting circular business models, circular strategies, and eco-design principles.

- We adopted the Switchers online platform to coach the entrepreneurs & freelancers, including for creating their Green Business Model, adopting sustainable branding principles, and deep diving into one of our favorite topics, EcoDesign!

- The project engaged 50 young innovators, designers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs from the Cultural and Creative Industries in Lebanon (25 per year) who wanted to grow their ideas or startups into eco-friendly sustainable ventures, while enhancing their market visibility and growth opportunities.
