Description

In its effort to promote entrepreneurship, research, and student life, the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology established the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to be part of that Research and Technology Park ecosystem. The innovative character of the institute is reflected in its aim to achieve LEED Gold.

Brief

The KAUST SSOI is a landmark building that radiates the ambitions of KAUST. It also reflects the cutting edge research on membranes and energy the university is committed to. In terms of sustainability, the project aims to achieve high energy efficiency, water efficiency, use sustainable materials, use renewable resources, and create a healthy indoor atmosphere. The building also encourages interaction between the users of the building, and between them and the Open Space.
