The United Nations Development Programme Regional Bureau for the Arab States (UNDP RBAS) has created a Training of Trainers Curriculum catered for youth-serving organizations to offer a holistic approach to support leadership and innovative skills while working on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EcoConsulting was the Content Creator of the entire Environmental Curriculum on Climate Change & Environmental Awareness for youth in the Arab region, available for available for download here.
The curriculum incorporates environmental and climate action related exercises, activities, games, and handouts, as well as illustrative & interactive content, with over 430 pages of content. It is useful for youth-serving organizations and community-based organizations working with young people. The importance of this curriculum lies in raising environmental awareness and enhancing the knowledge of the youth in the Arab region on our ecological footprint and climate impacts, an essential component and a catalyst for responding to global climate change, while also equipping them with tools to assess their social innovations and approaches and ensure they adopt and advocate for eco-friendly initiatives and projects.
The curriculum is divided in 4 thematic modules comprising 12 thematic sessions
• Introduction
• Module 1 - Ecosystems & Climate Change, including Earth Systems, Biodiversity & Wildlife, and the Fundamentals of Climate Change
• Module 2 - Natural Resources & Human Activities, including Food, Water, Energy, Materials & Waste, Construction & Buildings, Transport
• Module 3 - Climate Action & Environmental Tools, inclusing Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation, Environmental Assessment & Design Tools
• Module 4 - Social Sustainability, Environmental Justice, & Eco-Activism

We also delivered a full Training of Trainers to UNDP to transmit the necessary knowledge on using this curriculum.
